Anything that put pressure or strain on mind can be identified as stress. This is the most simplest but self-explaining definition for Stress disease. The word ‘Stress’ is indeed in itself a self-explanatory term. With all the daily hectic schedules and exuded work loads, almost everybody from a child to elderly persons suffers from Stress.
In general parlance there’s no respite from Stress, no matter how healthy you are. At some time or other your mind gets stressed. The reason may be as big as death or absolute failure and can be as small as loss of a single penny. Seems absurd, but TRUE…. It’s up to human tendency and attitude that how much likely he suffers from stress.
Causes or Reasons behind Stress
Causes are innumerous and very indefinite in characteristics. As human behaviour is very unproductive and can’t be generalize so the reasons behind stress are highly subjective phenomenon. However certain rules are applicable over all. These reasons which generate stress are often referred as Stressors. But the difference is- they may or may not be a reason for causing stress in all the humans. Different people have different tendencies for facts of life. For e.g. - a student may be highly afflicted to Stress during exams time but on the other side another student may not at all get stressed during exams. May be his stressor is fear for heights or whatever...
Some of the common stressor that generally engulf people in stress disease irrespective of gender and age, though the degree of affliction may vary, and they are-
Physical stress- Inactive lifestyle and negligible physical activity constitutes the stress that follows as physically influenced. People less prone to involve their body in physical activity generally develops this stress
Personality Trait- A person may develop stress as per his personality development. Certain people have certain phobias that give them stress. Also people have tendency about how they feel about their personality and may suffer stress out of inferiority complex. The other behavioral patterns leading to stress are pessimism, inconsistency , unsatisfactory nature, jealousy etc
Diseases- Prolonged and serious disease is a major source of stress.
Relaxation disorder- If a person has continuous pressure of work, he often suffers from exertion that results into stress. The other pertinent cause of stress is sleep disorder.
Rift in relations and emotional factor- Problematic relations or death of a near relative may result into stress. People very high on emotional level especially women get stressed out of petty reasons like friend’s comment, fear from society, beauty factor etc.
Life problems- Any problem in professional life or home life may result into stress. The reason can be financial crises, poor academia result, recurrent failures, accidents etc
