Wintercare For Hair

There is more to be done to the hair than just oiling and washing. Those who take one step further may apply remedies like lemon juice in sesame oil to ward off dandruff. But the hair care must be done according to the seasonal changes. Coming winters the hair will require more nourishing than during monsoons. Apart from that we will have to keep it safe from dandruff attack. Here is complete winter care for your hair.

Make a rule never to wash your hair with very warm water. The water can be a little cooler than the lukewarm water. This will not let dandruff develop.

Mix in equal amounts of lemon juice and sesame seed oil. Warm it. Apply the mixture using squeezed lemon peels, rubbing slightly into the scalp. You may also use olive oil instead of sesame seeds oil.

Now, coming to the nourishing masks. These masks provide necessary protein that the hair requires for their health and great appearance. Prepare a mixture of 2 egg whites in olive oil and apply to hair using a cotton ball. Let it work for an hour or so then wash off.

Who said honey is just for the skin? In winters we tend to lose more hair. Make use of this honey and potato mask to reduce the hair loss. Grab one medium sized potato, one tablespoon honey and 2 tbsp aloe Vera juice. Extract out juice of potato. Mix 2 tbsp of it into said quanitites of aloe vera and honey. Massage well this preparation. Let it work on hair for two full hours. Then wash off. You may use this nourishing mask twice a week.

Castor oil, though less popular, is very effective in nourishing hair. You may mix in about 50 ml of castor oil, vitamin A capsule and pulverized quinine(available from drug store/chemical warehouse.
Mix then and heat for about 10 seconds (in microwave). Massage in well. You need to keep this mixture for atleast 2 hours for best results.
