What To Do With Upset Tummy
When it feels that your stomach is on fire and you know something is wrong with your digestive system, what do you do? Below we discuss all possible causes of your stomach ache and their cures.
Cause of an Upset Tummy
Usually, it is either the food or the way you consume it which are the main cause of stomach ache. For example, drinking empty stomach, eating too much of chocolate, gulping down large quantities of food without chewing well, eating unhygienic street food, etc.
If you have been falling ill frequently then it could be eating out often. The modern way of living leaves no room for making food at home.
Remedies
If the feeling is freaking you out then immediately take activated charcoal. If it is a case of food poisoning it will be absorbed by the charcoal and hence flushed out of the system. Since Activated Charcoal absorbs all the components that come in contact with it; so make sure that you have not taken any medication along with it. The charcoal may cause dehydration due to over absorption.
The stomach could be experiencing spasms due to indigestion. Squeeze 2 lemons in a glass and fill it with water.Add black salt to it. Sip slowly. This is an effective remedy if you are having vomiting and experiencing nausea. It helps in digestion and expulsion of the unwanted material from the body.
Lemon Juice could also be mixed with equal quantities of mint juice and sipped slowly.Eating fruits such as pomegranate, orange and banana with black salt sprinkled on them is a good way to calm down the stomach ache. Vomiting and loose motions result in loss of essential ions and fluids from the body. Since, the body is unable to accept solid food one must stick with these fruits in order to avoid weakness.
Precautions and Care
Avoid oily and spicy food completely, no matter what is the reason of your upset stomach. Whatever you drink or eat make sure to sip and chew slowly and in small quantities. Give the body time in order to start accepting food like before.
