What Is Depression?
No one has time in this busy world. Sometimes one may feel very sad and tired with all the work. Soon this sadness goes away when something good happens. But when this sadness doesn’t go away, this state of mood is called depression.
Depression is a state when a person is not able to carry out all the daily routine works in a proper manner. Different people have different types of depression. It is a common but serious problem.
Depression is mostly hereditary, can be caused due to unexpected loss of money or any loved one. For children, any stressful environment at home like fighting between parents or unusual scolding can causes for depression.
Certain medical condition like any sudden injury or any untreatable disease can put a person in depression.
Some symptoms of being in the state of depression can be sadness during the day specially morning, a feeling of guilt every time, the person either doesn’t sleep or sleeps for too long, feels like dieing, having negative thoughts all the time, can’t concentrate on anything, sudden weight loss or feeling tired every time.
The state of depression differs for everybody. Depression can occur at any age even children can suffer from it. Percentage of women sufferers is more than men.
Depression should not be taken lightly. If you find someone close to you with this problem help him or her to get rid of it. Talk to the person and encourage him to thing positively. Help the person to visit the doctor so that he can be helped by giving some necessary medicines to get rest.
Depression has to be treated by own. Thinking positively, trying to keep oneself busy with the things one enjoys, listening to music of choice and also dancing with it, eating food of one’s choice, trying out yoga and mediation can be some of the useful activities.
