Wear A Supportive Jog Bra
June 11, 2009
Exercise is an important activity that is a part of our daily lives. While some are lazy enough to stay in their bed till late mornings, some are so regular that they hit the gym or road for a morning jog. Jogging is a great way to stay fit, whether you do it on a treadmill or on the road – results are always pleasing.
But women who take up jogging or any heavy exercise should wear proper outfit for optimum results. Every woman wears a bra, but while exercising, merely wearing a bra is not enough. You need something more – a supportive jog bra.
Breasts are an important part of a woman’s body and are of critical importance when it comes to external looks and after pregnancy. Since they are delicate, the breast tissues cannot sustain the rigorous bouncing while running.
Unstrained breasts move very freely during jogging and can damage the size of the breasts. If a woman is having large breasts, then the weight can damage the ligaments of the chest and cause severe pain, sometimes damaging the shape of the breasts.
To avoid these worries and jog with a carefree mind, every woman should use a supportive jog bra. These special bras are sturdier than the regular ones and offer more support to the chest, thereby reducing the risk of breast damage. Also, it controls the bouncing frequency and keeps the breasts firm and steady, which increases comfort and prevents embarrassment at public places.
There are many supportive bras, popularly known as sports bra, available in the market. Depending upon a woman’s age, size of her breasts and the performed exercise, one can choose the best fitting bra.
While wearing a sports bra, you may even skip wearing the regular bra. But you may wear both of them if are very cautious about the nipple movement that might be visible after skipping the regular bra.
The most important thing is to take care of your breasts by wearing a supportive bra while jogging – whether you wear specific type or color is immaterial. After all, you are exercising to keep yourself fit and should take care that it is achieved without harming any body parts.

This is very important advice! Many sports bras also provide lots of information on the tags, like what activities they are designed for. Women with larger breasts have a much, much harder time and there are 2 types of sports bras – compression which is better for smaller breasted women and encapsulation which is better for larger breasted. I did a whole section on sports bras and proper fit in my book, The Bra Book, which comes out this fall. keep up the good work!
