Ways to Have Healthy Eyes

Eyes are priceless. It your eyes have started giving your some trouble recently chances are you have not been taking care of them. Here are some simple tips to keep your eyes healthy and feeling fresh.

Rub your hands against each other to generate heat. Immediately place your palms on your eyes. There warmth of the hands will help eye muscles to relax. To this 10-15 times a day. This is especially beneficial for those who work for hours together on computer.

Shut your eyes suddenly and tightly. Count till five and then open then immediately. Do this 5 times consecutively. This increases blood circulation in the eyes. You must remove your contact lenses or spectacles before doing any eye exercises. Always wash your eye with tap water after removing contact lenses.  Washing eyes at least 2-3 times a day is a healthy habit. It keeps eyes fresh.

Proper nutrition is more than necessary for healthy eyes. Take regular supplementation of Vitamin A and E. These required for optimal functioning of eye cells. Natural sources of these vitamins are fresh green leafy vegetables.

You may prepare home remedies to strengthen your eyes. Take few seeds of cardamom enough to mix in 1 tbsp of honey. Eat this everyday. Drink 120 ml of carrot juice daily. Carrots are good source of vitamin A.

Prepare“chutney” (paste) by grinding 1 tbsp of ginger paste with spinach leaves. Add salt as per taste. You can consume this as bread spread also. Drinking spinach juice is equally beneficial. Use eye drops everyday. Eye drops cleanse eyes and provide freshness. Using an herbal eye drop is beneficial. You may put pure rose water in eyes. It may cause a little burning sensation but the discomfort will be worth it.

Another home remedy is to boil two tbsp of fenugreek leaves along with 10 small onions and half cup of moong dal. Consume this regularly with meals for one month.
