Vitamins During Pregnancy

The condition of expectancy is all about eating good and feeling good. According to the American college of Obstetricians and Gynecologist, the women in their pregnancy period must increase their intake of nutritional daily intake.

To start with, the meals must include 3-4 serving of fruit salads and fresh green vegetables. There must be 9 serving of enriched bread, whole grain, cereal, rice or pasta for energy. Three serving of calcium contained foods like cheese, yogurt and milk. For good concentration of protein items like dried beans, nuts, eggs, fish, peas, meat and poultry should be added.

If meals are not sufficient vitamin supplements can be taken but only on the prescription by the doctor. There are certain necessary vitamins that you just cannot miss during your pregnancy. This is because every vitamin is essential to provide basic building of the body. For proper growth of teeth and bones, Vitamin A & beta carotene are important. These can be easily obtained from Yellow fruits, potatoes, carrots, milk, liver, egg and cantaloupe. It is required in about 700mg.

To promote strong teeth and provide body with surplus calcium and phosphorus concentration eat on fatty fish, milk and spend some time in sunshine. This will provide you with ample Vitamin D. Daily required concentration is 5 mcg. Vitamin E is required for RBC formation and use. This can be obtained from fortified cereals, vegetable oil, wheat germ, nuts and spinach. Daily required concentration is 15mg.

The antioxidant capacity of Vitamin C helps the body to have better immune system, protection against tissue damage.  Vitamin C can be acquired by broccoli, strawberries, green beans, citrus fruits, bell peppers and citrus fruits. The daily concentration required is 80-85mg.

In order to regulate nervous system and rise energy levels eat rice, pasta, legumes, and organ meats. This diet will provide body with Thiamin or Vitamin B1 Likewise, zinc (11-12 mg) can be obtained from oysters, dairy products; proteins (60 mg) can be obtained from legumes, nuts. Also, iron (27mg) can be obtained from dried fruits, pork, wheat germ and spinach. It is responsible to prevent any cases of anemia and
premature delivery.

Even Calcium (1000-1300 mg) provides back-up for proper muscle and nerve functions. Other essential vitamins include Riboflavin (1.4 mg), Niacin (600mcg), Pyridoxine (1.9mg) and Folic acid (600mg).
