The big family of Vitamin B comprises of many health benefits. Starting with Vitamin B1. It is important for fat synthesis in body using proteins and carbohydrates. Deficiency causes Beri Beri.
It also works for oxidation procedures of sugars in body. Vitamin B2 provides with oxidation of cells. It’s deficiency causes loss of appetite.
Vitamin B6 is also required for fat formation and provides prevention against various skin diseases. Vitamin B12 prevents pernicious anemia. Although importance of Vitamin B4, Vitamin B5 is has not been well proved. The vitamin B3, if absent, causes GIT disturbances and also causes excessive hair falls; a condition known as alopecia.
Vitamin C also acts as an antioxidant and helps in building of immunity. It’s deficiency causes scurvy, hyperglycaemia and carbohydrate metabolism. Vitamin A provides us with good eyesight. The deficiency disease of the vitamin A includes weak eye-sight and urolithiasis. Bones require Vitamin D for proper growth and development. Tooth health also depends on Vitamin D.
Beautiful skin requires Vitamin E. This is why almost every skin care preparation boosts about their Vitamin E content. Vitamin E does amazing things for hair health. Many research results have shown that Vitamin E shows potent benefits to people suffering from sterility. Vitamin E too works as an antioxidant along with Vitamin C and A. Muscular dystrophy can also be prevented by taking optimal amount of Vitamin E on daily basis.
Macrocytic anemia can be prevented by taking regular amounts of folic acids. Nicotinic acids supplementation is effective to prevent Pellagra. Our diets are often deficient of one or more of these vitamins. Supplementation with multi-vitamin preparation is often recommended by doctors.
