Treating Split Ends

When the hairs are not conditioned properly they get damaged and split ends occur at the tail of the hairs, which look very ugly. The growth of the hair is also affected in the presence of split ends. But these can be cured and even prevented by taking good care.

Causes of Split Ends

There are some common things that lead to split ends. Ends of the hair are relatively dry as they are more exposed to the sun and the natural oil present in the hair fails to reach the ends. Poor quality brushes and combs also lead to this problem. Trimming of the hair is a must as all the dry and damaged hairs from the ends are cut off, thereby causing no problem of split ends.

Home Remedies for Split Ends

It is easy to get rid of the spilt ends. Always get your hair trimed once in a month. Whenever you see any split end cut it off. Always do deep conditioning of your hair. If you hairs are brittle, then you must always shampoo and condition from root till the tip.

When you condition your hair, apply the conditioner and wear a shower cap with all the hair inside and place a hot towel over it. This is a very good treatment for split ends. Doing this once a week would definitely help you in getting rid of all the spilt ends.

Oiling is also very good for hair. Apply oil to your hair at least once a week. You can use coconut oil, almond oil or olive oil. Use the shampoo that suits your hair. Never brush your hair too hard and also for too long. Never comb your hair when they are wet as they break easily at that time.

Applying banana to the hair is also good for split ends. Make a paste of banana and mix with curd and apply on the hair. After the shampoo apply milk mixed with cream to the hair till the hair end and keep it for around ten minutes. This is good for getting rid of split ends.

Also, you can mix honey with curd and apply on the hair and see the results. Your hair would be shinier and splits would also disappear with regular use.
