Treating Discolored Underarms

Discolored underarms can be very embarrassing and irritable, even more if you have fair skin complexion. Due to discolored underarms one even cannot wear cut sleeved clothes.
The discoloration of the underarms is basically caused by shaving the area and by the use of poor quality deodorants. Sometimes some hormonal changes, physiological aging process and conditions like pregnancy can also cause such a discoloration. Constant rubbing or friction of the area because of wearing tight clothes can also be the cause. Heredity also plays a major role in darkening your underarms.
If the area surrounding your neck is also getting discolored along with the underarms then it is high time to get your blood sugar levels checked. These are the symptoms of type II diabetes mellitus.
Home Remedies
There are some simple things that you can do to get rid of these discolored underarms and these things are readily available in your kitchen.
Firstly, avoid shaving the affected area. Stop this activity for at least two months and then you can start with waxing not shaving. Waxing removes the hair as well the dead skin cells, thereby giving a cleaner look.
Lime is said to be a natural bleaching agent. Cut the lime and rub it on the affected area for two times in a day. Do this for at least a month and you would find a noticeable change.
Avoid using deodorants instead you can rub baking powder on the underarms after the bath as it works well and you can also use an antifungal powder with it. You can also bleach the area but bleaching can be harmful if the chemicals do not suit your skin.
You can also try mixing vinegar and baking soda. Apply this paste on your under arms before bathing every day for a few days. You will definitely find a positive change in the discolored condition of the skin.
Scrubbing is also very effective in removing the dead skin from the underarm region. Some whitening creams are also available in the market, which can be used.
Try to wear loose cotton clothes instead of synthetic material so as to prevent the area from constant friction.
These simple remedies, if done regularly can benefit a lot in improving the discolouration of your underarms.
