Toothache Cures
May 21, 2009
A visit to a dentist is scary for many people, be it kids or adults. Our self created notion about the cruelty of a dentist can be one of the causes, while others may fear due to a previous bad experience. But visiting a dentist is not a frequent activity as we visit the dentist only when we have toothaches.
But all those of you who do not want to visit a dentist in any condition, I will share some effective cures that can help you not only curing your toothache but also save you from visiting a dentist.
Before applying any cure it is very important to find the cause and then apply the required treatment. Now toothache can occur due to many reasons, like tooth problems or problems in cavities or jaws, gums or even a cracked tooth. Lack of oral hygiene can also be one of the causes resulting in bacterial infection in the mouth.
The best way to avoid toothache is by taking proper oral care, i.e. brushing twice a day and washing the mouth after eating anything. But remember to use only fluoridated toothpaste and a toothbrush with soft bristles as it will provide maximum benefit.
Depending upon the cause and severity of pain, you can follow either of these simple tips to cure toothache. Use clove oil and put 2 drops of clove oil in the painful area. Clove oil is known for its medical properties and will reduce the pain and remove infection, if any. You can also mix one clove of garlic with rock salt and place it in the affected area.
Consuming a slice of lime or any other natural source in Vitamin C can relief pain. Onion, Wheat grass and pepper are very popular for their denitrifying properties.
Apart from these tips, remember to avoid consuming cigarette or tobacco. Restrict the amount of sugar in your diet and remember to consume a healthy and well balanced diet that is rich in vitamins and fibers.
Stay away from consuming soft drinks as they contain chemicals that can reduce the calcium amount and cause plaque that sticks to your teeth making them look yellow. With following all these precautions, you can easily avoid toothache and visiting a dentist!
