Tea Tree Oil as a Sunburn Remedy

Though sun baking is great, sun burn can really make you r skin look bad.  There are some herbal remedies which you can use if you bake yourself a bit longer in the sun and get burnt.

Tea Tree Oil can come to the rescue. Let’s try to understand that how to use it. Apart from the tea tree oil, take coconut oil or olive oil as well. You need to dilute just one part of the tea tree oil with two parts of Olive oil or the coconut oil. Use it on the affected part of the skin.

The mixture will look very soothing. Apart from soothing and helping your skin to recover from the sun burn, the tea tree oil also helps in reducing the blisters. It will also help in reducing in the peeling of the skin.

Tea tree oil can work well on the sun burn even without mixing it with olive oil or coconut oil. Just use it freely all over and you will have a soothing effect.

You can also try mixing the tea tree oil with another herbal called aloe. Mix it with the tea tree oil then apply evenly on the skin. You can also sit under a fan; it will help in the coolness of the skin. Do try this if you have sun burn, you will definitely feel the soothing effect of it.

You can try out another mixture. Use tea tree oil with lavender oil. Use it in proportion of one to eleven that is five drops of the tea tree oil and eleven drops of the lavender oil.

Also add a few drops of distilled water. Then apply it on the affected area. The mixture is also readily available in the market. You can buy and apply it as per the instructions given.

Another effective mixture can be the tea tree oil mixed with vitamin E or aloe Vera lotion. You need to apply it a few times a day to get relief from sun burnt. The tea tree oil can also be mixed with the almond oil. Also add cold water to the mixture then apply it on to the affected part.

Apart from this many readymade lotions are also available in the market which is equally effective in reducing the bad effect of sun burn.
