Taking Care of Hands and Feet
Along with skin, it is necessary to take care of your feet and hands too. Some simple routine work makes it possible to keep the feet and hands soft and well maintained.
Every time you bath file your feet. As you use scrub once or twice on your face in a week, similarly use it on your feet and hands too. After that apply a good moisturizer on the area.
Soaking feet and hands in warm water is also good. It removes the dirt from the nails and also the spaces in between. Make a solution of half cup milk, two spoon sugar, two spoon plain yoghurt and few drops of lavender oil. Soak your hands in the solution for 5 to 10 minutes. After that scrub and wash with lukewarm water and apply the moisturizer. See how soft your hands would become.
If your hands are prone to allergies and eruptions that you should follow these simple things always wear gloves whenever doing some cleaning work. After finishing the household work always dip the hands in warm water with one spoon cornstarch in it.
Make a mix of lemon juice, rose water and glycerin especially during winters and apply them on the hands and also on face and leave it over night and wash in the morning. This would make the hands soft and prevent from cracking also. Sometimes some stains are difficult to get rid of for them rub lemon juice on it and then wash the hands.
Foot care is also important as hand care. Always trim your nails regularly to avoid any ingrown toe nail problem. Soak the feet in warm water with some Epsom salt in it. Moisturize your feet regularly. Get a good foot massage done once a month. This would improve the circulation and you would feel good.
Persons with diabetes should take extra care of their feet. Keep the feet in good and healthy condition. Moisturize them daily. Any irritation or numbness in the foot should be taken into the notice of the doctor.
