Stay Cool, Look Hot

May 13, 2009

The scorching summer heat dictates its severity on your skin. If only it would be possible to stay at home and take care of your skin. But since that’s not possible, let us examine some make up tips that will help you to stay cool and look hot this summer.

One of the best ways to look fresh is by keeping the make up to a minimal level during summers. This way, you will be able to see your features at their best and would also avoid those glaring looks from people who won’t like to see your make up shine in the glistening sun. You should use cosmetics only if your complexion is too dark or you sweat a lot.

If you wish to balance your skin tone, then one of the best ways is to apply foundation. This will spread on your skin and would even out your pale complexion. You will be really lucky if you can lay your hands on a tinted moisturizer, as it will add a little color to your otherwise dull looking skin.

Use eye shadow and wisely. A touch of proper color can either make you look beautiful or an improper color can completely damage your looks. So be very careful while choosing the shades. The best shades for summer are warm shades, like bronze or coral. Mascara can be optional in your make up for the summers, but many people prefer having it daily. So if you are using it, please remember that the intention of using mascara is to thicken the lash and hence one coat is enough.

I would suggest avoiding lipstick as naked lips look so much natural and beautiful. But if your lips are not smooth and you wish to cover the cracks, then color your lips with a pencil and apply a layer of lip gloss. This combination will do the same trick as applying a lipstick. And finally, apply some blush that matches your skin color.

That’s it. Your summer make up is properly in place. Now just keep a smile on your face and go wherever you want, without fearing the sun or the heat.
