Solution: Blackheads and Whiteheads

Blackheads and whiteheads are types of acne. These usually develop on oily skin and are aggravated with dust and dirt. Keeping your skin clean is the first step to get rid of whiteheads and blackheads.

Medicinal Treatment

Skin experts will try to use isotretinonin, benzoyl peroxide, tretinoin and antibiotics to treat excessive occurrence of blackheads and whiteheads. Antibiotics are given in case of infection. This prevents spread of whiteheads and blackheads. Both topical and oral antibiotics can be prescribed by the specialist.

Isotretinoin is given in case of severe comedones. It has side effects and hence is avoided to be given in case of mild acne.

Benzoyl peroxide is given for mild acne. It is antibacterial in nature and may cause a little burning sensation on the skin. It is given as a topical application in the form of gel. For open whiteheads and blackheads extraction can be performed. It is done with a metal instrument.

Home Remedies

Soak lots of (50 or more) neem leaves in enough water to cover them. Cover and let the mixture develop for 2-3 days. Wash your face every morning and evening with this water. Neem water works as an effective antiseptic. It also prevents in spreading of acne of all types.

Using pestle and mortar prepare a paste of fenugreek leaves and methi leaves. Apply the paste all over your face at night and let it work. Wash off in the morning. This simple remedy is helpful against all acne troubles and also solves problem of excess dryness of the skin.

Radish seeds can be grinded into powder and mixed with water to make a smooth paste. Apply this for 15 minutes until it dries. You will notice an instant decrease in your blackheads.

Same can be done with sesame seeds. Sesame seeds will also help in skin rashes and all major types of skin allergies.

Gently rub mixture of vinegar and salt onto the pimples. It will burn a little but bear the heat for 20 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water.
