Sleep Well, Live Well

Sleeping is a natural phenomenon.  Everyday we follow it. Everything goes well with a good night sleep. Have you ever wondered why? We tell you.

When we sleep the body is doing three main things. Firstly, the cells are being repaired. When we sleep our metabolism slows down.  The heartbeat and the breathing rate also slow down.  By this the body is able to relax after a day long of physical activity. Secondly, the body   is able to release growth hormones in young adults during sleep.  This is an opportunity for the RBCs, the bone and the organ tissues to rejuvenate themselves. The third essential function is that it strengthens the immune system.

When we are unable to get a good night we tend to have a weird day ahead. The most common symptoms of  sleeping less is dosing feeling  during day, irritable behavior, tired eyes and decreased mental alertness.

Caffeine is the curse for those who want to get a good night sleep and unable to get it. This is the first thing to get off when approaching a deep healing sleep. Unless you are planning on having enough sex avoids chocolate also. Chocolate also provides mental alertness and will not let you dose off easily. It is understandable that in today`s busy world night gyms are becoming a great thing to do but do not do it if you are already facing sleeping problems. Loud sounds of music and viewing of television is not appropriate for a good night sleep.

Comfort foods help in having deep night sleep. Often, warm milk with shakkar is given to sleep cozily. Many people agree that they like to sleep with a satisfied appetite. Always wear lose and comfortable clothes. This helps the natural circulation of the body.

When these simple techniques are not able to help you and you sleeping habits are leading to stress at work place then please consult a doctor.
