Saggy Breasts: Cause and Remedies
December 1, 2009
Sagging is a common breast problem. Even young girls are facing it these days. Breast sagging is generally associated with pregnancy and breast feeding.
This occurs because over period of time the tissues that manufacture milk shrink. Even when the fat is deposited and the breasts appear full again, but the sagging part still remains.
But there are lot many reasons for sagging breasts than just this one. According to a study women who do not wear bra regularly tend to have a sagging breast. Also, continuous up and down movement of the breasts during jogging and jumping tend to damage the tissue. Hence, women must always wear a sports bra to support the tender tissues and ligaments.
But another study throws light on how wearing bra (especially with under wire) tend to make ligaments lazy and they refrain from their natural function of maintaining breasts in right position.
Since the ligaments are no longer working and they become non-functional with time. This can cause irreversible sagging of breasts.
Drastic weight loss tends to make the breast wrinkled and saggy. Due to sudden weight loss, the size of the breast may become small and hence their tendency to sag may decrease but one needs to make sure than the size of breasts does not shrink suddenly.
Other reasons that cause sagging breasts are irregular menstrual problems in women (especially women suffering from PMS, PCOD, etc), smoking and menopause.
Remedies
One simple remedy is to massage them from time to time. Prepare a mixture of sweet almond oil, anise seed oil and fenugreek seeds (grinded). Massage them in upward and inward strokes. Spend 10 minutes on each breast.
Rub your hands against each other and apply the warmth to each cup. This technique will not just prevent sagging but even beautify the breasts.
Exercises help considerably in reversing sagging. One simple exercise is to stand straight and bring your palms together above your head. Remain in this position for 10-15 seconds. Come back to the normal standing position.
Do this as many times as you can in 10 minutes, as a starter. Increase the time as your stamina increases. You may either do bench press or some yoga exercises.
