Removing Pubic Hair in Women

Do you know that pubic hair exist for a cause, and a good cause! They protect the genitals of women from the external pressure and act as a buffer between the genitals and the underwear. They also make sure that excess moisture is being dissipated by keeping a layer of air between the genitals and underwear. But sometimes, pubic hair can cause embarrassment and they need to be removed.

Mostly a woman would want to remove her pubic hair because her partner has told her to clean up as there exists a forest in her pubes, which makes the intercourse difficult. Other reason could be maintenance of hygiene. Many women do not like growing the pubic hair too long as it is not hygienic and involves chances of some dirt sticking onto them.

Whatever be the reason for removal, every woman should be careful while removing the pubic hair. There are many ways to remove them and clean up your pubes. The easiest and effective way is to shave them off.

Take a shower and apply moisturizer to your pubes as this will soften the pubic hair. After some time, start shaving off the hair in the direction of the hair growth. You may use scissors, razors or trimmers for this. Remember to use a new razor for shaving as an old one can result in a faulty job. Once you have shaved the hair, dispose them off in the garbage bin. Now again take a shower so that the skin pores absorb moisture and tap the pubes with a dry towel. Apply a moisturizer to the pubes and you are rewarded with clean and hygienic pubes.

Initially, you will feel some irritation but with successive shaving the irritation will lessen down and you will get used to it. There are other methods of pubic hair removal such as waxing and chemical depilatories. But both of them are risky as they can leave the skin surrounding your genitals dry and itchy causing pain. Hence it is better to avoid them.

The only care you need to take is deciding the time for removing the pubic hair. Vagina is a sensitive area and it becomes more sensitive during the menstrual cycle. So avoid removing the hair during your cycles as it may cause discomfort.
