Remedies with Tulsi
Well, it can grow in your backyard and provide remedy for more than ten health conditions. I am talking about Tulsi or basil.
In winters, a warm cup of Tulsi tea (without milk) does wonders to your immunity. After a stressful day at work, the Tulsi tea will provide you with vitality. For asthmatic patients, take 5 grams of black basil and mix it with honey. This mixture is taken regularly.
Gastric troubles are common these days, courtesy eating habits of people these days. Take ghee and mix in its black Tulsi juice and black pepper powder. Take it after meals once a day to treat all gastric problems like acidity and indigestion.
The major ageing problem in elderly is joint pains. These may be symptoms of early arthritis. About 10 grams of ginger and 10 grams of Tulsi and squeezed together to receive juice. This when taken anytime in day helps bring relief to joint pains.
A major disease like malaria can also be treated using Tulsi. All you need to do is take 7 leaves of Tulsi and mix them with black pepper. This mixture is given to patients 2-3 times a day. Many marketed preparations of cough and cold remedies include Tulsi as a key ingredient due to its expectorant and anti-jussive properties.
As an herbal remedy, warm water of black Tulsi should be used to do gargling. This brings relief to sore throat. The remedy is most effective if done at bed time. If a person faints due to any reason, Tulsi juice can be rubbed on its feet and hands. The person is most likely to come to conscious soon. This is because the herb promotes better blood circulation. If a person is having trouble of excessive spit then try to chew Tulsi leaves more common.
Tulsi also helps relieve vomiting in small children. It is also helpful in eczema skin condition. For eczema, Black Tulsi is mixed with butter and vinegar (only small amount).
