Remedies For Bursitis
Bursitis is the term for inflammation of bursa. Bursa is the fluid filled sac around the joints that prevents friction between tendons and bones of moving parts of the body. Bursa acts as lubricant.
There are over all 160 bursa in the human body and the major ones are adjacent to major joints of the body like knee, shoulder, hips and elbow.
Causes of Bursitis
Inflammation in the bursa is caused due to any injury, infection or crystal deposits. One can easily know about bursitis by the swelling and pain at the joints due to motion. Infection is caused by bacteria as they are placed very close to the surface of the skin. People undergoing treatment of diabetes, some chronic kidney diseases or some steroids treatment are at higher risk of having bursitis.
Crystal deposit means that people who have problem of gout, arthritis and related are not able to break uric acid which is build in the body by daily mechanism which convert into crystals and get deposited into joints.
Home Remedies for Bursitis
Some simple home remedies are there which can help you at this condition. Turmeric is very good for healing bursitis. Take around 1200gms of turmeric in a day continuously for a month and see how the pain goes off. Take rest and don’t overwork. Rest is also the best way to cure this condition.
Increase your diet which should be rich in calcium and vitamin B12. Take extra supplements of the two. Massage the area with olive oil. Do it regularly this will reduce the pain and do not let it reoccur.
Applying sandal wood paste made by sandalwood powder and water on the affected area. This would reduce the shooting pain of bursitis. Persons suffering from this should not do heavy exercises instead of this take rest. Simple yoga stretching exercises can be done.
