Remedies For Bruises
Bruises are simple injuries to the blood vessels when a part of body is struck somewhere and fibers under the skin get crushed leading to bleeding but the blood does not leak out from the skin surface.
Since there is no place for the blood to come out, it clots there and forms a red or purplish mark on the area.
Bruises occur when certain thing hurts you on your body or you fall from somewhere. These are mainly seen after sport activities and also some simple injuries can also lead to bruises. Bruises are not permanent marks and are commonly seen in kids. They are not dangerous but can become dangerous when accomplished with fractures. Normal bruises heal with in some days without leaving any marks on the body.
Home Remedies for Bruises
Add a few drops of tincture to the cream and apply to the area. This is the best remedy to reduce them. Arnica is also good for bruises and sprains. Rubbing the arnica cream on the area can change the colour by enhancing the blood circulation.
Cabbage also heals the bruises due to its inflammatory properties. Vitamin K tablets help in healing bruises and vitamin C helps to prevent blood clotting and also heals the inner damage. Adding green leafy vegetables, fruits, almonds, apples and citrus fruits also help to repair the damage made to the tissues and also prevent bruises to occur.
Frozen vegetables packs or ice packs are good to be used on the bruises as they help in promoting blood circulation. Another thing you can do is to make the bruise area elevated like if it is on your leg or arm then put a pillow under the arm or leg so that the blood flows properly to the affected site.
You need to consult a doctor when the bruise does not go away within a span of two weeks, or there is swelling and pain and you cannot move the area. Also, sometimes bruises appear on their own which is a serious condition. Consult the doctor if any of these things happen.
