Rich antioxidant compounds like omega 3 fatty acids, pterostilbene and sulphur found in various fruits and vegetables have been found to reduce cholesterol significantly. These foods include black soybeans, cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, pistachios, walnut, almonds, blueberries and olives.
These foods help in thinning of the blood and improve blood circulation. The high fat diet of Europeans is supposed to put them at a higher risk of developing cardiovascular problems. Extracts of alfalfa and aloe vera when taken everyday significantly reduce cholesterol.
Seafood provides ample amounts of omega 3 fatty acids and linoleic acids. Lean meats are better option instead of organ meat and red meats.
Supplemetation with fish oil capsules and vitamin A, C and E may also help but these should be taken only under supervision of a health care provider.
