Re-Bounding Of Hair

Hair re-bounding is a procedure in which your hair is made straight, shiny and smooth by using chemicals. Each has its own natural bond. For example some have curly bonds, some have wavy bonds. This procedure nullifies the natural bond of the hair and provides a new bond (straight) to hair. Hence the name.

The procedure for rebounding is lengthy and it depends on factors like – bond of the hair, length of the hair and condition of the hair. Firstly, the hair is washed using a mild shampoo and conditioner is not applied. Then the hair is dried using a blow dryer. A relaxant/softener of crème base are applied to the several well separated parts.

It is left for 10 to 40 minutes (depending on hair condition). Hair is then washed once again, dried and keratin lotion is applied to the hair. Ironing is done of the hair to convert all hair as straight.

Precaution is taken not to exceed the temperature of the rod beyond 180 degree. Metal irons are avoided and ceramics are preferred. The professional will keep on straightening till your hair is perfectly straight. Once again, the hair is well parted in portions and a neutralizer is applied in order to provide a new bond to the hair. The neutralizer is well kept for about half hour and then hair are rinsed with cold water. Hair are again dried using blower.

They are then once again made straight using ceramic iron. The appearance of the hair becomes shiny and perfectly straight. For precaution you must prevent folding your hair from anywhere. Usage of shower cap is necessary for preventing hair from water.
