Prostate Problems

The prostate gland is a sex organ in males that is present below the bladder in front of the rectum. It produces the liquid that helps to carry sperms. Prostate disorder occurs when the prostate gland enlarges and inflammation occurs in it.
Causes
The causes for prostate disorder can be sitting in one posture for longer period of time, extreme cold climate, constipation and excess of sexual desire. Some chronic diseases can also the cause of prostate diseases. Increasing age is also one of the important causes.
Diagnosis
Prostate disorder is diagnosed when the patient has some trouble in passing urine, experiences severe body pain, pain in legs, knees, hips etc.
When you consult the doctor with these symptoms then first he would test for any stone present in the body. If nothing were found then he would go for rectum analysis. In this he would put a finger in the rectum and judge the size of the rectum. After getting a general idea he would take some blood tests and urine flow analysis would be done.
Treatment
Treatment depends upon the diagnosis. There are various home remedies for prostate disorders. People suffering from prostate disorder should eat vegetables like carrot and spinach. Fresh Juice of these vegetables can also be taken. Eating pumpkin and tomatoes is also very beneficial for prostate patients. Eating 3-4 cloves of garlic is also considered good for prostate disorders.
Eating a well balanced diet is good for overall health. Eat green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits. Avoid junk food and caffeine. People with prostate problems should take diet high in mineral and vitamins like milk and its products.
If not treated it can get converted into cancer. If the person experiences problem in urinating such as pain, sleep gets disturbed due to frequent urge of urinating, blood is present in urine and serum, weight loss occurs and pain in the pelvic area is experienced then you must immediately consult your doctor as these could be the symptoms for cancer.
