Prepare Your Hair Color At Home
There are many coloring products available in market. What if you could make your own dye at home? Here are some examples of most commonly used shades which can be achieved from nature.
Using Coffee
Black coffee can used to get beautiful shades of browns into the hair. One method is to wash your hair repeatedly with cool coffee. For this, mix one tbsp of black coffee into a cup of warm water. Let it cool down then use it. Wash it repeatedly for 5-6 times using the same coffee again and again. Keep the final rinse for 20 minutes in your hair then wash off with water. Do not shampoo.
One interesting remedy to color hair with coffee is to use it with a leave-in-conditioner. Mix 2 tbsp of ground coffee and a cup of brewed coffee with the leave-in-conditioner. Apply all over your hair. Let it work for 1 hour then wash when it appears tight.
Using Tea
Take 8 black (caffeinated) tea bags, 2 cups of curd, cup of black henna and a cup of water. Obtain tea water by brewing the tea bags. Mix it with henna, add curd. Curd and tea help the henna to release more color. But if you add lemon juice in excess, the henna will not produce any coloring effect on hair.
Apply the paste all over your hair. Keep for 6 hours then wash thoroughly with water. Your hair will shine with a rich dark brown shade.
Using Chamomile
To use chamomile tea for coloring your hair you will need a few drops of lavender oil, yogurt, a cup of warm water and a few chamomile tea bags according to the length of your hair.
Obtain chamomile water by soaking tea bags in water. Add lavender oil, yogurt to it. Apply the mixture all over your hair. Keep for 45 minutes to an hour and then wash off with water. Condition your hair deeply as your hair may feel a little dry.
Chamomile also promotes hair growth. This remedy is light enough to be used once in a week. Results are seen best on blonde hair.
