Pink Lips no Far

Lips are the most sensitive skin area of your face. It is actually a thin skin and requires more SPF to protect itself. Nevertheless, lips are prone to get damage and become chappered, dark and dry. Lips protect your mouth, aid you in sipping and speaking. It therefore becomes very important to take care of them.

Here is what you must do and also, what must never be done to maintain healthy pair of lips. If you have been smoking lately, it will become visible on your lips. Smoking simply destroys the natural antioxidants present in the skin and promotes ageing. Therefore, lips as well as skin will start to turn dry and dark.

Many people have the habit of chewing their lips. Cheap lip care product can seriously damage lip texture. Regular application of saliva also turns lips darker and dryer. You must quit the culprit as soon as possible.

One thing to do is drink lots of water everyday, at least 8 average sized glasses. This will provide needed hydration to not just your skin but also your lips.

Eat food and vegetables rich in beta-carotene, for example carrots. They are strong antioxidants and provide healthy appeal to the lips. Eat more colored fruits and vegetables, strawberries, tomatoes, carrots and cherries. Eat them regularly for at least 1 month in not very severe cases. In case of really damaged lips, extend the eating for 3 month at least. Always carry a standard lip balm with you. As soon as you find them dry, simply apply it on.

Market is flooded with lip care products. Choose ones which carry natural Vitamin E and A. Natural herb based balms of good quality may also be used.

You may make you own lip balm at home. Take 4 tsbp of pure honey. To this add 1 tbsp of lemon juice. Keep the mixture in fridge and apply it whenever you want. This will provide much needed hydration, vitamins and would lighten the coloration.
