Perfume Hazards for Skin
Perfumes are being increasingly used by us to smell great. We use different perfumes and think that bad body odour will stay away from us. But have you ever realized how much harm you are doing to yourself by spraying these perfumes daily. You must be wondering that how can something that smells good and makes us feel good can be harmful, but the answers will surprise you.
Perfumes are made from different chemicals including natural and synthetic constituents. In fact, few chemicals that are used in perfumes are also found in cigarettes. So every time you are spraying perfume on your body, you are spraying harmful chemicals on your body. These chemicals can have devastating effects on your skin and health. Not only this, even the people surrounding you can feel irritations as well.
The chemicals present in the perfume causes disorientation of our skin cells. This leads to irritation of skin, development of patches, development of reddish spots, etc. The chemicals interfere with the normal cell structure and hence many people feel irritation of their skin when a perfume is sprayed. Other harmful effects of using perfumes are headaches, irritation of eyes, nose and throat, nausea and even asthma. Some chemicals in the perfumes are so dangerous that they can cause skin cancer if they are exposed to skin for longer periods.
Many manufacturers use cheap chemicals which can cause problems for our skin. You would be surprised to know that these chemicals even affect the animals and the environment. Whenever perfume is sprayed, it vaporizes in the air leaving great smell behind; but those chemicals react with air and form even more complex structures that can be extremely harmful. Due to such life threatening consequences of perfumes, many manufacturers have started obliging to strict rules by informing about the ingredients of their perfumes.
So next time, you are about to buy a perfume, think twice. Do you really need it? Are there any other ways which can substitute your perfume? You should try to avoid perfumes as much as possible, but if you cannot, then at least check and verify that the perfume consists of safe ingredients. You surely don’t want to risk your skin and health for the sake of good smell.
