Neuritis Information

Inflammation in one nerve or a group of nerves in different parts of the body is termed as neuritis. This is a dangerous condition as it includes changes in the nerves that can cause weakness, loss of reflexes and many more serious problems.

Symptoms

Neuritis is manifested by tingling and burning sensation over the affected area followed by dabbing pain. In severe cases there can be numbness and lack of any sensation in that particular area which can result in paralysis attack also.

Causes

There can be several causes for this condition but presence of acid in the blood is the main cause for neuritis. When wrong food is being eaten that is developing acid in the tissues then it results in acidosis. Excess of work and wrong eating habits leads to malfunctioning of the nervous system, which in turn causes neuritis.

Other than wrong lifestyle there are various other factors that can also cause neuritis. Deficiency of several vitamins, any injury that has affected the nerves badly are some of the other reasons.

Home Remedies

Prevention is better than cure. So one needs to take certain steps to avoid having neuritis. Taking painkillers is not a remedy. It would give only temporary relief from the pain. There are several remedies that have been proved good for this condition.

The person having the problem of neuritis should take soybean milk mixed with honey at night. Another remedy is consuming juice of carrot and spinach as it contains various essential elements.

Mainly neuritis is caused by the deficiency of all vitamin B nutrients. So diet rich in vitamin B should be preferred. Fresh juice is also recommended for the neuritis patient.

Patient should be given hot water bath with Epsom salt dissolved in it. The affected area should be dipped in hot water for two to three times in a day. This increases the blood flow and reduces the pain in the area. Walking and some light exercises are also beneficial for this problem.
