Natural Makeup For Natural Beauty

Now that the whole world is going natural and organic, you have organic vegetables, organic tea and now, organic make up. Organic make up is made up of natural ingredients and minerals that do not harm your skin and the make up too lasts longer than usual.

However, these organic or natural make up contains no synthetic dyes that can harm your skin. So an eco friendly, organic make up is the new mantra.

Brands like Body shop or Lush are into making natural make up from fruit and mineral extracts and many celebrities are ardent users of these brands.  Body shop has come up with its winter range made up of orange and pomegranate extracts which works wonders for the skin. The lotus seed extract eye gel is a miracle worker for puffiness and crow’s feet.

Lush too has its own range of cosmetics, right from face packs to soaps. They are made from algae, sea salt, herbs etc which not only adds a glow to your skin but causes no damages.

However in today’s world people are all running to look like a cover girl of Cosmopolitan or Vogue. But the fact is a face that is caked with makeup is passé. Go with the natural look. The face that God gifted you. When we start applying oodles of make up, we try and fake a person who we are not, in turn forgetting who we are. We loose our own identity. We try and look as much possible as what Britney Spears looked in her new video. “beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”, and all that the beholder wants to see is the natural us, and not a fake version of a pop star.

So go natural, and if you do feel like highlighting those natural features of yours, then here are a few tips.Vaseline petroleum jelly is a wonder makeup. You can not only use it to heal chapped lips but also as a highlighter. While going out to highlight your cheeks and eyes apply some jelly on your area below the eye brows and on your cheek bones. This will not only act as highlighter but also make your skin look radiant.

Apply lip glosses with neutral or a peach or pink shade. Mascara can be used to define your lashes, and if you are so fond of adding a little colour on your cheeks, you can apply a light colour on your cheek bones.
