The Mint is as healthy as tasty it is. The garden herb is also popularly commercially cultivated to be used to industrial purposes. It is known for its mouth freshening properties. Therefore it is used in Toothpaste preparations and mouth washes.

Mint is a handy herb when it comes to home remedies. A warm tea of pudina, without milk, serves several purposes. It boosts libido and increases stamina. It helps remove excess heat from the body. It also cures seasonal cough and cold.

It works as a central nervous system stimulant. It revitalizes the senses. Pudina leaves are helpful in removing hiccups and ear aches. It provides relief from flatulence and helps treat indigestion.

Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, it is helpful in stings. Eating Pudina chutney helps in digestion and acts as a stomachic. Mint also acts as an antispasmodic.

When leaves of Mint are grinded in pestle and mortar to prepare a paste and eaten it can be helpful in food poisoning.

This Herb is bombarded with many vitamins and minerals. It contains carotene, the pigment which is part of Vitamin B complex family. It also contains good amounts of Thiamine.

Riboflavin, essential for many biological functions in body, is also present in Mint. Niacin and Folic acid are also present. Folic acid is very important vitamin for women.

It is directly related to optimal hormonal functioning of the body. The mood swings in women can be directly related to Folic acid deficiency. The immune system booster Vitamin C is also present.

It works as a powerful antioxidant. It is because of this reason that it has been extensively studied as anticancer drug. Minerals present in Mint include calcium, Phosporus, Zinc, Copper, magnesium and manganese, Selenium and fluoride.

The best possible method to relish this herb is cut the leaves in minute portions and garnishes the meals.
