A diet which is high in protein and fiber is very helpful. Eat small meals but eat them more frequently. This helps in maintaining proper blood-sugar level inside the body.

Diet needs to be rich in calcium and magnesium content. Low fat dairy products like mangos, bananas and mangosteen are good source of calcium and magnesium. One can take daily supplementation of these minerals which does not exceed 1000 mg of calcium and 500 mg of magnesium.

Soy foods help in balancing of the hormones by providing natural estrogen. Tofu, soybeans and tempeh are all good options. These come under the category of phyto-estrogen.

Healthy fats in the form of omega 3 fatty acids are powerful antioxidants for dealing with menopause. Flaxseeds and walnuts are good options. Drink plenty of water to keep system cool.
