Men may sleep like a baby

Let’s call it the play of hormones realized at various ages in our life and the alternation of the internal clock of the body. Men face sleep trouble at some or the other stage in our life. Sometime, these are inevitable since the life-style has become such. Still, there are some simple ways of getting to sleep like a baby.

For those men in their 20s, you need necessarily 9 hours of sleep. Experts say you are getting only six hours everyday. Interestingly, the age group between commencements of puberty till 25 years requires the maximum amount of sleep in the entire life cycle, apart from when we are infants.

One solution  could be to order your last drink at least 3 hours before you plan to hit the bed. Lesser alcohol you will have in your body, better you will be able to sleep. Another interesting fact is at about 11 in night your body would hint you to dose off. This is due to secretion of melatonin. Therefore, taking melatonin supplement can aid you getting your much needed sleep. Even at weekends don’t allow your body to sleep for extra hours. Try to follow a simple daily routine of sleeping in time and getting up in time.

For those within the age group of 30 and 40, the bad news is men in this age group are getting about 82% less deep sleep than those in their 20s. Deep sleep or Slow-wave sleep is what one needs to rejuvenate the various body systems. What could be done is to identify the source of trouble. If stress has taken over you, try a six-block walk. Experts say that this is the most optimal amount of exercise to reduce stress that cause reduced sleep. Take a Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic acid) supplement before hitting the bed. It also helps in reduction of stress.

Those men who have crossed 50s face some serious sleep troubles. There is almost no deep slow-wave sleep. They must get themselves regularly checked for sleep apnea. If frequent urination at night is causing you disturbance in sleep then consult an urologist. Taking of Vitamin B5 supplement about half an hour before going to bed should be made a regular routine.
