Men and Overeating

October 7, 2008

Food is a comfortable thing to do for many of us. It is therefore even dangerous than poison. Overeating or
comfort eating (as you may put it) might provide you with a temporary relief from your mood or feeling of being low but when you see it at the macro level things are quite different.

Some of the major health diseases have risen due to wrong eating habit and wrong meals. And the increased belly is another reason for stress with this habit of overeating. So you decide for yourself if you are really getting relief or not? This article is for you if you really want to get over the habit of overeating. This is how this mission could be accomplished. First thing is to increase your intake of fluids rather than solids.
Take good amount of water when you get up in morning each day.

This is important as this will help you flush out the problem of weight gain caused by water retention. Try to avoid any form of caffeinated beverage intake. Water intake is important but you do not need to drink pure water. The fluid intake must include fresh juices, vegetables, clear broth soups, milk, etc.

Decreasing the eating of that food stuff that has high salt content will only is beneficial for you. This is because increased levels of sodium will lead to increased water retention. The next important thing to do is avoid under eating. It is important to eat meals on proper times and have a routine of eating. Also avoid eating lesser than what your body needs.

For this you can make a onetime visit to a dietician who can detail you about the amount of calories that you require each day. They would also refer to you some diet charts for you to follow. These days ready to follow diet charts are available online through leading online magazines. Next step is to be determined and feel responsible about your own health.
