Luscious Lip Within Days

March 2, 2010

Even if you are born with dark shaded lips you can still change them to a creamy pink shade. All you need to do is have some patience and follow these miracle tips.Repair Damage

The first step is to repair the damage. This is done by scrubbing out the dead skin. The area of the lips is very sensitive. The act of scrubbing needs to be done carefully, using gentler ingredients. Sugar granules are best for this job. Take 4 pinches of sugar granules and add few drops of olive oil or coconut oil (as base).

Gently apply on the lips and scrub off the dead skin. Wait for 10 minutes then wash off with water. Apply an herbal lip balm immediately. Do not scrub if lips are chapped.

To repair the chapped lips apply 2-3 drops of mustard oil in your naval region with first finger. The remedy is said to moisturize the lips. You may even leave a thin layer of butter cream or honey overnight to heal the lips.

Nourishment

Lips need vitamin E, C, A to have protection against sun damage, etc. Beta carotene is a rich source of vitamin A.  Red colored fruits and vegetables like tomatoes, carrots, strawberries and cheery must be added in the diet.

It is for the same reason that wheat germ oil and beta-carotene are the top ingredients in most of the commercially prepared lip balms.

Home- made Lip Balms

It is extremely important to keep lips moisturized. One strong reason to use homemade lip balm is that you are certain of the quality.

Simplest lip balm is made by mixing 1 tbsp of honey with 1 tbsp of sweet almond oil. Store it in a small container. Mix it well every time you use it.

Dry lips require such a lip balm which will stay on for longer hours. For this you can use beeswax. Beeswax is available in market. Melt a piece of about 1 inch in microwave.

Add 1 tbsp of lemon juice, few drops of honey and few drops of rose extract. The remedy keeps lips pink because of rose extract and the lemon extract provides protection against sun damage.
