Know Constipation

Constipation is more looked upon as something humorous. But actually it is quite serious condition, especially when it may lead to more severe conditions like piles. Constipation is observed as difficulty experienced by someone in expelling feaces which are hard.

There are many causes of constipation. It could be due to less intake of water, decreased intake of fiber in meals, increased absorption of water by colon. It could be induced due to irregular sleep patterns or change of body clock. It is also caused due to excessive intake of tea as well as coffee.

Constipation may also occur due to some other medical conditions such as pregnancy, tumors and hemorrhoids. Too much stress as well as emotional circumstances to may lead to constipation in sensitive people. Constipation can be treated at home as part of first medication. Doing regular exercise in the form of running or long walks is helpful in avoiding conditions of constipation.

Stick to wheat (chapatti) rather than thriving on rice and drink on two glasses of Luke warm water to make bowel movements better. When suffering from constipation one must avoid such foods that are difficult to digest by the intestine, like beans, legumes, cabbage, etc, In case you want some quick home remedies, try squeezing out one lemon juice in a glass of water. Pinch in salt and drink on. Eat grapes.

Grapes have natural laxative properties which ease the intestinal movements. Another wonder fruits is apple. Early morning, empty stomach, eat sliced apples. Do this for atleast 10 days. You will be amazed by your changes bowel habits.
