Kidney Related Disorders

Kidneys act as filters or cleansers of our body. They operate in a manner to make body expel what it does not desire and retain and is necessary for it. What if these filters become un-functional? What if they get blocked?

Although, it is said that even if one kidney gets damaged or un-functional, the second one can take over the responsibility. Let us know if it is possible in all the kidney related disorders. Kidney stones are one of the most common kidney disorders. The stone may be formed over a period of time and may black the passage of excretion through ureter.

The wastage then keeps on accumulating in the kidney region making it inflamed. This causes much pain. It may also be a hereditary disorder. Once the stones are made to pass through the bladder, the problem is resolved. Polycystic kidney is another form of very common inherited disease. The symptoms of the same may start to appear during teenage period till the adult phase.

Kidney transplantation is the ultimate option for treatment once dialysis is done with. Hereditary nephritis or inflammation of kidneys, cystinuria, alport’s syndrome are other form of hereditary diseases. These are less common than others.

Congenital disease of kidney is also picking up its risk rate. In this, there is some dysfunctioning in the urinary tract (genitourinary track) which causes obvious disturbance in the operations of the Kidney.

People already suffering form diabetes have a high risk to develop kidney failure. Also, people you have persistent problem of hypertension (untreated or uncontrolled) have a higher tendency to develop kidney problems. Another major kidney condition is nephritis which is so several types. The most common disease being glomerulonephritis.

There are some foods which must be avoided by those who are risk of developing kidney diseases. Foods containing more seeds like tomato and those foods which are rich in potassium (like fenugreek) are avoided by kidney patients.
