Improving Circulation With Yoga

There is a saying in yoga that the day one starts doing yoga their aging clock stops. Yoga maintains optimal balance of hormones in the body. It increases the energy levels and regulates the metabolism. Here are some yoga techniques for staying young forever.

Proper circulation in the body is very important. Restricted or blocked circulation raises stress levels in the body thus causing fatigue. It also disturbs the mental attitude. This is where yoga comes to help. Certain twists and turn will give you immediate response.

Stand straight with your feet together. Place hands on shoulders and keep your shoulders straight up. Inhale through nostrils and keep mouth closed. Inhale and bring your elbows closer.  Hold the position for 5 seconds. Now, exhale and open the elbows to make them as apart as possible. Join your hands at the back of your head and look upwards.

Do not lift your shoulders. Wait for 5 seconds then inhale and bring the elbows towards each other. Now, exhale once again and let the elbows move as apart as possible. With this exercise one can easily relax.

For the next exercise stand straight by keep the feet a little apart (1- 1.2 m). Place right hand on your side waist and let the left hand is placed straight, in line with the shoulder. Gradually inhale and stretch the left arm over your head towards right side. Wait for 10 seconds but do not exhale.

Then gradually exhale and come back. Now, place left on side waist and place the right arm in line to the right shoulder. Follow the same steps as above. Repeat this 10 times for both the sides.

Next exercise to improve circulation is done by turning towards the right hand side. Hold both the hands above the head, palms facing each other. Placing right foot forward bend the knee.

Now, slowly lift the left foot outwards and backward and bend the body forward keeping hands held together. Stay in this position for 5 to 10 seconds, as comfortable to the body. Exhale and slowly come back. Repeat the step by turning left.
