In case of vulvovaginal candidiasis, severe itching of the private parts (vulva) along with soreness and painful irritation is noticed.The area around the vulva becomes swollen with reddish appearance. Along with this whitish or greyish discharge from vagina is found which has a curd like texture. This discharge is odourless in nature but if the infection level increase the colour of the discharge change to green with foul smelling discharge. Yeast infection often leads to painful intercourse and painful urination like problems.

Natural Treatment For Yeast Infection

One should include yoghurt as a part of daily diet. It enhances the growth of friendly Lacobacilli bacteria which would help eradicating yeast infection naturally.

Prepare a vaginal douche by mixing equal proportion of sage, raspberry and cider vinegar along with one fourth proportion of goldenseal. Other useful herbs to treat yeast infection are chamomile, black walnut etc.

One should control the sugar intake strictly, as sugar encourages yeast growth.

Different types of herbs such as tea tree oil and garlic helps fighting yeast infection successfully. Fresh cloves of garlic if peeled and inserted in to vagina it successfully eradicate the yeast infection instead of that a paste of freshly minced garlic can be applied on the affected area. One should consume 3-4 garlic pods every day to keep yeast infection at bay or can consume garlic capsules which is equally beneficial.

Apply purehoney in the infected area and leave it for half an hour then rinse it with lukewarm water. Regular practice of this therapy would eradicate yeast infection.

Rinse the vaginal area with apple cider vinegar as the acidic nature of the vinegar kills harmful yeast infection.

Different types of essential oils such as tea tree oil, thyme, lavender, myrrh, patchouli and tagates are helpful in case of yeast infection. These oils should be properly diluted (separately) and used as a compress on the affected area.

Personal hygiene level should be addressed. One should wash the genital area properly and wear clean breathable undergarment so that the dampness could be avoided.
