How to Choose the Perfect Bra
July 2, 2009
The right bra can actually change the entire outlook of your breasts. Perfect is the bra which supports the breasts without putting any pressure of the tender breast tissues. Here is a detailing on how to choose the right bra for youself.
Measure your cheat size with a measuring tape. If the number comes out to be odd then choose the next even number as your chest size or the band size. Some experts suggest that adding 5 inches to this number may be beneficial. For some women the precise measurement works perfectly well. You can do both and make two calculations. Wear the two bras and then see which one brings out the best appeal. The second measurement is of the fullest breast area.
You may either measure them by removing clothes or wearing a well fitting non-padded bra (if you have any). Calculate the difference between the band size and the second measurement (of fullest breast area) to get the cup size. According to this number you may choose your bra size, example 36 A, 38 C, etc.
Next come to choose the bra type. Those with smaller breasts (smaller cup size), a light support bra would be appropriate. These bras usually do not have an underwire and then simply supports the natural design of the breast. It suits best on slimmer body types.
For larger breasts, full support bras do a good job. They come in the option of padded and unpadded bras. These are suitable for any body type. To show off your cleavage, you may need a padded/push-up bra. Padded and underwire bras uplift the breasts and make them appear larger and fuller. These are often not recommended by health experts since they tend to put pressure on breast tissues.
It is always better to be measurement by an expert than yourself. Bra deserve decent amount of investment so don not crib if costs you almost half for what you paid for your branded jeans. Also, make sure you have good amount of time when you go for bra shopping. Pay attention on how it fits and keep in mind the comfort. After all, you will be wearing it the whole day. Right?
