How To Choose A Male Condom
Every man will agree that sex feels better without use of condoms. But use of condoms is an absolute necessity unless you are ready to be a father or accidently catch a sexually transmitted disease from a new partner.
But with some change in attitude and getting into the habit of condom use you can actually make you and your partner experience stress free sex.
Although condoms have a failure rate of 2 percent, use of multiple condoms (2-3) can greatly increase safely. Additionally, condoms are inexpensive, disposable and can be used any time.
What is the Fuss About?
Most men and women prefer a contraceptive pill over a condom. Many believe that time taken to unroll the condom onto the penis can actually slow down the excitement brought about by the foreplay. Also, no matter how thin be the latex film, it does feel like a barrier between the two anatomical parts of humans.
Nevertheless, condoms are one of the safest modes of contraception and there is a wide variety to choose from.
While Choosing
Basically, condoms come in three forms, i.e., plastic, latex and animal tissue. Latex and plastic are the most common ones. Latex condoms go well with water based vaginal lubricants. They are not suitable for oil based lubricants since oil may break the latex. On the other hand, plastic condoms are thinner than latex condoms. Though these are costlier than plastic condoms but these require lesser lubrication.
Also, these come in many flavors. Ask your partner for her preference. Dotted condoms aid in extra pleasure but should be avoided if it is girl`s first intercourse.
Some companies produce spermicide coated male condoms. Try to avoid their purchase. Such condoms were developed with a view to kills sperms. But studies show that condoms coated with spermicide do not cause any significant harm to sperms.
Also, the spermicide (usually nonoxynol 9) may irritate the vaginal tissue and increase tendency of transmission of STDs. Even during oral sex, the spermicide has been found to cause harm to tissues of mouth. Condom may cause a little stress in holding a hard erection but it is worth it.
