People who have tendency to develop eczema must not smoke at all. An interesting cause of eczema to note here is deficiency of vitamin B and optimal blood circulation.Here are some effective home remedies that will help you in treatment of eczema.
Take about 50 grams of birch leaves and simmer them in one liter of water for about 3 minutes. Once it is hot enough, add to it a pinch or two of sodium bicarbonate. Let it cool down for an hour. This mixture is then filtered to drink. The same mixture can be used to wash the skin with. Use 4 portions of chamomile oil to one portion of almond oil. This mixture can be applied on effected area for instant relief.
Carrots are rich source of vitamin B. Eating carrots would help you in preventing eczema. You may also grate the carrots and make a face pack out of it. Likewise, eating cabbage as a raw vegetable also helps. Watercress is another helpful herb. Watercress extract can be used effectively as a disinfectant. The extract can be obtained by mixing it with water and boiling it for 10 mins.
Nutmeg powder is yet another helpful remedy. When paste of nutmeg powder is prepared using warm water and applied to the effective areas, much relief can be obtained.
Sandalwood is well known for its smoothening properties. It not just provides relief to the skin but helps in keeping it healthy in long run. Best can be done is to mix camphor oil with sandalwood and prepare a paste. This paste can be applied on the needed area. Regular use of this mixture heals eczema for sure.
