Chicken pox is a highly contagious disease which stays on a person for about 21 days. Medically, it is termed as Varicella. It is caused by the infection which varicella zoster virus causes. In this disease, small red rashes appear all over the body, sometimes causing pain and irritation.
It starts from the head and then spreads to the rest of the body. Once you can see blisters and rashes on your feet, then you know that it is time to get cured as the virus will leave in some days. So, once the virus goes, a person has to take proper measures so that the scars do not leave a permanent blemish on the skin.
There are many things which you can do at home to provide temporary relief to the blisters. One of them is baking soda. Whatever permanent mark or whatever itching is troubling you, just take a pinch of baking soda mixed in water and apply the paste on the affected area. The itching will decrease and it will provide relief. Honey also has healing power to heal the scars and it is so effective, that the scar will go away in three days! Vitamin E oil also helps to make the scar disappear within moments.
If there is irritation all over your body, then you can also take help of oat meals. Take a cup of oatmeal and add it to one liter of water. Boil it for about fifteen minutes. After you have done that, put the boiled oat meal in a cotton bag and put it in the bathtub. After taking a dip in the tub, you will feel much refreshed and the irritation will also go.
