May 15, 2009

Arthritis is a condition when a person experiences damage in his joints. The level of damage and the affected joint can result in various complications. Most common forms of arthritis are Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis. In Osteoarthritis, the individuals experience stiffness in joints, thereby claiming extreme pain. People in the older age group usually fell prey to this condition. Rheumatoid arthritis not only affects the joints, but also affects the surrounding tissues and organs.

As we all know that joints in the human body connect two or more bones to facilitate movement and provide mechanical support. But if any individual is affected by arthritis, then his movements become limited and he has to bear extreme pain whether performing any action or not.

Irrespective of the type and severity of arthritis, the patient can safely try herbal remedies to cure his ailment. Most of the herbal remedies not only provide relief, but also help in improving the condition of the other body parts. This makes it easy to sometimes completely uproot arthritis. I will discuss some of the best home remedies to cure arthritis.

Having a diet that increases alkalinity in the blood is always beneficial for arthritis patients. A patient has to be given fresh fruits and vegetables. Sometimes juice of raw fruits or vegetables should also be given. Another effective cure is by using Castor oil. Boil castor oil and mix it with fresh orange juice. This orange juice should be consumed daily by the patient before breakfast. Other items that can be easily found at home and which help in curing arthritis are lime, garlic, bananas, green gram, etc.

Every patient has to take care that they perform light exercise daily. You need not necessarily jog or run, but you can just walk a few steps in your garden. A brisk morning walk will not only make you feel fresh and energetic, but will also aid in proper blood circulation and reduce the stiffness in the joints.
