Getting a good night sleep is as important as taking meals everyday. We all know how disturbing it becomes when sleeping habits get disturbed.

Sleep is responsible to provide rejuvenation to your entire system. It is responsible to reduce stress, boost immunity, help in digestion of food, healing the entire body and providing relief to the exhausted eyes.

It therefore becomes very important that you have regular sleeping habits. If that is getting difficult these days then choose these herbs for remedy. Lemon balm is the simplest remedy.

It works as an antioxidant and helps relaxation of the nerve cells. It has the additional advantage of boosting memory. It must be applied on forehead and massaged with finger tips. Chamomile is best absorbed as a tea.

It relaxes the central nervous system and therefore helps in having a good sleep. It also has great free radical fighting properties.

In order to get rid of stress and anxiety, help of skullcap is taken. It is a trusted ancient herbal remedy and helps in relaxation of mind to provide sleep. It has been used in treatments of insomnia.

Another herb which helps in getting rid of anxiety and promotes sleep is Kava Kava. It is taken in the form of drink. Valerian has been clinically tested to induce sleep. It has shown positive results in all forms of sleeping disorders. Apart form these herbs, aromatherapy can be tried out to relax. The lavender oils and aroma reduce pressure from the nervous system and provide comfort.

A nice oil massage in hair may do trick for many people. In fact, in ancient times, oiling of hair at night was practiced. This reduced stress, increased blood circulation and promoted sound sleep. Lack of nutrition may be yet another cause for sleeping disorders. If herbal remedies are not showing results once must consult a physician.
