Get Rid of Cellulite

Cellulite is deposition of fatty cells, commonly seen on stomach, thigh and hips, and it appears as a dimpled skin. It occurs more commonly in women than in men. Cellulite may occur in slim women too.

Here are some effective ways to get rid of the cellulite.

Role of Nutrition

Cellulite mainly occurs due to toxins present in the body that have been produced as a result of metabolic functions. It is important to detoxify the body in order to get rid of the cellulite and prevent it from re-appearing in future.

Include healthy fats in the form of omega 3 fatty acids, linoleic acid and linolenic acid in your daily diet. These fatty acids are present in corn oil, sunflower oil, nuts, cold water fish, primrose oil, lean meat, egg yolk, cocoa butter, coconut oil, flax seed oil and wheat germ oil. One may even take supplementation of the mentioned oils in order to benefit.

Consult a health care expert before you start taking the supplementation. Overdose of linoleic acid may lead to development of bowel cancer due to the end product produced as result of the metabolism of the acid. Eating foods rich in chlorophyll, example wheat grass, provides significant skin benefits.

Drink plenty of water and eat small but frequent meals which include at least one serving of fresh fruits. Avoid foods that contain trans fats. Trans fats act as cell blockers. They bond to the cellular pathways and thus block passage of the nutrients to pass in and out of the cell. Most of the fried, packaged and processed foods contain trans fats.

Home Remedies

Simplest of all home remedies to remove cellulite is drinking lemon juice with honey. Drink this as the first thing in the morning. This remedy aids in circulation of the fat cells and allows them to form an even layer below the skin.

If honey is not available one may add a few pinches of cayenne to the lemon juice. Drinking herbal teas also help in circulation of the fat cells. Body wraps treatments can be done at home.

Exercises

Swimming and cycling are best workouts for cellulite present on thighs and buttocks. Boxing and dancing style which involve lot of leg work are other interesting options to get rid of the unwanted cellulite.
