Get Rid of Anal Fissures
Fissure is a small tear in the lining of the anus, which is mainly caused by hard and dry bowel. They can cause pain; itching and sometimes they may bleed also.
Causes
Sometimes extra pressure on the anus can also be the cause for fissures. Many women develop fissures after the childbirth. Anal intercourse can also be the cause for the same. Deficiency of vitamin B-6, abdominal pain, weight loss, tuberculosis, HIV and anal cancer can also cause fissures.
Treatment
Simple way to get of these fissures is to drink more water and take diet rich in fiber so that your stomach is cleaned properly and also bowel would not be hard.
If you suffer from the problem of constipation then use stool softeners to get rid of this complaint. Sit in a tub of warm water in a way that your anal area is fully dipped inside the water. This would give you immediate relief from pain and itching.
Watery stools are also as harmful as constipation for the anal region. They can make the anal tissues soft and the acid present in the stool can then cause burning in the area.
Keep the anal area dry after every bath and bowel movement to prevent the fissures. Keep the anal area lubricated using a petroleum jelly to avoid any injury to the anus. Also, avoid sitting for too long as it makes the situation worse rather use a pillow while sitting. Applying aloe vera gel over the region is also beneficial.
Overweight is also problematic for fissures. Sweating between the anal area could make the situation worse and fissures do not heal quickly. Applying paste of butter and turmeric would help to cure the infection of tearing in the anal.
Eat fresh green vegetables and juicy fruits. Yoga is also beneficial for fissures. After doing all the above things if you still do not get relief, then consult the doctor who would suggest some ointments for local application. Sometimes when the problem becomes very hard then the fissures have to be removed by surgery.
