Genital Warts In Men

Genital warts are caused by human papillomavirus. In case of oral sex, these may spread to mouth and throat regions. Genital warts may become benign in rare cases. These warts have a higher tendency in men than in women to become cancerous. Genital warts are one of the most commonly sexually transmitted diseases.

Sign and Symptoms

Warts will appear in and around the area of penis, anus and testicles. These are the regions which get infected most easily. Usually, the tip of the penis will be the first place to observe growth of genital warts. These warts require through inspection due to their very small size.

They may be often confused with warts produced due to itching and perspiration. Intercourse may be painful due to vigorous rubbing of the warts along with skin surface. Lubrication may not help.

The skin in genital region feels very uncomfortable. There is considerable itching and prickling. Although bleeding is rare yet some men have reported regular bleeding episodes. If the man is suffering from bleeding in the genital region he must not suffer from bleeding during micturation. Any form of bleeding must be reported to doctor immediately.

One major sign of genital warts is clustering of the warts. They may appear as moulds near penis and anal area. A “cauliflower –like” image is formed due to grouping of the pinkish warts.

Herbal Remedies

Thuja essential oil and olive oil provide complete cure for genital warts. Equal quantities are mixed and applied three times in a day. The same remedy can be used by women. Since skin of women is extra sensitive thuja essential oil can be mixed with tincture of fresh thuja leaves.

Castor oil is a safe oil to use in almost any skin disease. A few drops of castor oil can be directly applied on the warts. It gradually clears all warts. But for many people the smell of castor oil is unbearable. But for compete cure castor oil must be used daily.

Tree tea oil is applied on the warts using a gauze compress. The gauze tape is left on the warts overnight. A little patience is required but results are worth it.
