Gearing Up For Summer
With winter winds almost gone and sun trying to take control, let us gear up for skin care during this pre-summer season and also the summer coming soon.
Skin care during pre-summer and summer seasons is a bit complex and requires some understanding of your own skin. First, you must be aware of your skin type. If it is oily, you will have to carry good quality skin wipes with you always.
It is true that oily skin requires very little moisturizing, but is does require hydration. Frequent splashing water on face would let the skin breath in and unclog oily pores. Eating lots of spicy food and food that contain more oil must be avoided.
Face packs of orange peels and lemon peels are most effective on oily skin. Cucumber based face packs are equally effective.
If the skin is dry then daily moisturizing, two times a day, is essential.
A non-greasy based moisturizer in morning and a thicker cream based moisturizer at bed time can be done.
Dry skin must be applied with face packs at least once a week. Aloe Vera and rose based face packs are perfect for dry skin.
Glycerin, when added with rose water in equal quantities can work as amazing bed time moisturizer. Many women have problem of T-zone i.e. the forehead and nose area is oily, rest is normal. Regular cleansing of T-zone is very important in order to avoid blackheads and whitehead which are common during these season.
In order to be ready for any season, a well balanced diet is more than mandatory.
Eating seasonal fruits and vegetables and drinking ample amounts of water in order to help body get rid of toxins is the basic foundation for a healthy skin anyway.
Taking vitamin and mineral supplements on daily basis naturally help body fight against all form of inner and outer odds.
