Foot Fatigue

Wrong selection of shoes and daily neglect of foot care often cause pain in feet. The daily chores do not affect the feet much. The feet take us everywhere we want. It is time to pay a little attention to them.

The simplest thing you can do is to raise your feet 45 degrees with respect to your body and lay down. This will improve blood circulation and give relaxation from tiredness. Do this for 20 minutes or more. Fold the front part of our feet with one hand and move it up and down. This is very relaxing, especially when one has been wearing heel whole day.

Soaking feet in a warm water tub containing 2 tbsp of Epsom salt is an age old remedy. It revitalizes the entire system. Pat dry your feet with towel, followed by application of a moisturizer.

An easy spa treatment that can be done at home is to run hot and cold water on your feet. Allow hot water to pass on your feet for one minute followed by cold water for one minute. End the procedure by cold water. A diabetic patient or a person with impaired circulation must not do this remedy.

A 30 minute massage with any oil can do wonders to your feet. Use thumb to press the centre of the feet and produce upward strokes. Use oil which does not have a strong smell. Baby oil, sweet almonds oil and olive oil can be used. Rubbing ice to your feet can be helpful. Ice acts as a mild anesthetic and anti-inflammatory substance.

Foot exercises are the easiest way to get rid of fatigue. Sit on a chair and place a golf ball or a tennis ball under your feet. Roll the ball using feet. Sitting cross legged for a few minutes improves circulation.

While choosing a foot wear try to choose the one which has a thick sole. A thick sole will help in shock absorption. Also, buy different types of heels and do not stick to one heel height. Also, choose heels which have insoles. This will prevent in putting an extra pressure on your foot balls.
