Foot Care At Home
Feet take us every where but sadly they are often ignored. There are many ways to pamper your feet and rejuvenate the nerves. Here are some simple things that one can do at home.
Using Warm Water
Believe it or not but just a 15 minute dip of feet in warm water can do wonders to your feet at the end of the day. Add some Epsom salt. The dead skin becomes lose and can be scrubbed out using pumice stone.
Pat dry the feet. Make sure no moisture remains between the fingers. Apply ample amount of moisturizer and massage on for 5 minutes. Put on thin cotton socks to retain the moisture. Do not wear the socks during summers.
Relief with Scrub
Squeeze out fresh lemon juice and keep the peels. Mix equal amount of honey to the juice and apply the mixture on the feet and scrub using lemon peels. The honey will add moisture to the feet and the lemon juice and peels will help in removal of dead skin. Continue this for 10 minutes then wash off with fresh water and apply moisture.
Using Wax
If cracked feet are becoming a problem simply melt a small candle and pour the warm wax onto the cracks. The paraffin wax fills in the cracks and heels them. The wax can also be used to soften the feet.
Oils
Olive oil and sweet almonds oil do not have any odor. Hence these can be applied as moisturizers on the feet. If one is suffering from high blood pressure then do not use oil on feet. If you keep your feet healthy and soft the nails too will appear soft.
French Pedicure
The simple pedicure includes soaking, cleansing and moisturizing of the feet. But French pedicure gives a classic look to your feet. After following the routine of soaking and cleaning apply a pink or peach polish on the nails.
Then apply white polish on the toenail tips. French pedicures differ in the use of nail paint. To keep things simple just pick up a French pedicure kit available in market and follow the instructions.
